Professor Sandor M Veres supervises and carries
out research in the theory and practice of control engineering for autonomous
systems. He is coordinator of the university’s Centre for Complex Autonomous System
Engineering – C2ASE.
As part of the C2ASE, he is the head the Autonomous
Vehicle Control Systems Lab. He is also
member of the Astronautics group at the University of Southampton due to his
interest in cognitive AI in space for which he received some media
publicity. He is the author of 4 books and about 160 refereed research papers, click here for recent publications. He is an Editor of the International Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing in the topics of adaptive control, vibration control, autonomous control, estimation, system identification, noise control, robust adaptive systems. He is on the Editorial board of the Journal of Systems and Control Engineering to cover areas of autonomous control systems and machine intelligence. He is founding member of the Autonomous Systems National Technical Committee representing Southampton University.
